¼ cup cherry juice
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1½ tablespoons chipotle hot sauce
½ tablespoon Worcester sauce
½ teaspoon dried minced garlic
½ teaspoon dried onion flakes
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground cumin, preferably roasted ground cumin
⅛ teaspoon ground coriander
⅛ teaspoon liquid smoke
2 or 3 pinches chipotle chile powder
Smoked salt to taste (about ½ teaspoon)

Mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan on the stovetop.
