Kamado Jan grills excel in maintaining precise temperatures over extended durations, facilitating various baking endeavours, including the cooking of pizzas.

 

To prepare for baking or pizza cooking, position the half-moon heat deflector plates on top of the stainless steel grids in the upper position. Then place your pizza stone (available in 30 and 38cm diameter) on top of the deflector plates. This arrangement establishes a substantial ceramic foundation, leading to more consistent temperatures and minimizing the risk of unevenly heated areas.

It’s advisable to gradually heat the ceramics to your desired baking or pizza-cooking temperature. To prevent sticking, remember to apply some flour or use baking paper.
